Klassik habe ich bewusst nicht betrachtet, sondern mich auf Populärmusik der Neuzeit beschränkt. Das war schon schwer genug.

bei Klassik würde ich wohl auch weniger Alben betrachten, sondern eher Werke, unabhängig davon aus welchem Jahr eine Aufnahme stammt.

Wäre aber definitiv eine interessante „Aufgabe“. Mal sehen.

The Cures „Boys Don‘t Cry“ (no. 49) ist interessant, da sagt nämlich Discogs.com, dass das Album 1980 erschien (in UK sogar erst 1983), aber auf meiner LP-Rückseite steht 1979.

Darum habe ich dieses Album diesem Jahr und somit den 70ern zugeordnet.

Nachtrag:
Boys don’t cry ist eine Compilation, daher disqualifiziert für diese Listen. Ich habe das Album einfach durch deren Debüt „Three Imaginary Boys“ ersetzt.

Die 80er haben entgegen landläufiger Meinung einen so starken Output an toller Musik gehabt, dass eine meiner Lieblingsinterpreten, Mylène Farmer, leider keine Chance auf einen Platz in der Top-50 hatte.

Wenigstens sind ihre beiden Alben in den Top-Listen der jeweiligen Jahre gut platziert:
1987 landet Cendres De Lune auf Platz 16 und 1988 Ainsi Soit Je ... auf Platz 10.

Die schottische Band Cocteau Twins gehört neben Mylène Farmer und Kate Bush zu meinen absoluten Lieblingen.

Ähnlich wie bei den 2000ern habe ich auch hier zwischen dem 1. und 2. Platz geschwankt, mich dann aber letztlich doch für die Schotten entschieden. Eine Frage von Nuancen.
